Germany again at the Tyrolean Champs

It is the so called "most traditional" tournament of BIERPONG in Europe. The Tyrolean BIERPONG Championships took place for the 8th time in Innsbruck. Running on a max of 32 teams since moving from the Weekender Club to a complex in the west of Innsbruck, right on the other side of the airport from the HAFEN, where the ESOBP II will be hosted in January, the tournament is traditionally not easy to win for local teams. Just Michl! of the BPC Franken brought it three times to Germany, twice with Berry as Bierkönig and last year as MAC. The first Tyrolean Champs where won by two Finnish students playing in Lederhosen. A negative streak for the strong Tyrolean Teams that may can be stopped next year.
This year the strong brothers of Mywiler City, founding members of the 1. BPC Allgäu/Bodensee took the two hour drive to Innsbruck again. After setting bars in last years Tyrolean Final and playing for the trip to Vegas in last years Championship game of the Zipfer Final in Vienna, they stood in a big Austrian final again. At the semifinal they played the Twin Towers who they lost to at the Zipfer Final. Both teams did not play there best pong, until retemption was needed. In the xy'th overtime a Twin Tower's ball spinned out and moved the Germans to the final. The oponents nobody else then the Bierathleten, Austrians youngsters, reigning GSOBP Champs, SSOBP Runner Ups and former ESOBP Kick Off Champs. The Athleten already won the Gran'Slam Final and 325.- Euros at the same afternoon. But in that Championship Game Mywiler City was just to strong, close to perfect! In just a glimpse compared to the semifinal the game was over and the Mywiler Boys had it done!
They now have another ticket for the ESOBP - European Series of Beer Pong and just as last year they won a ride on a WOK in the Olympic Bob Sledge! More Infos about that soon!
