That was the ASOBP Weekend in Ohlsdorf
A pongastic weekend with a sensational new Austrian BIERPONG Champion is over!
We all knew that there is a strong BIERPONG Scene in Serbia, BIERPONG is played frequently on a high level. But the top ASOBP favorites where the strong German teams like MAC, who just won the Dutch Series the week before, Surk, the Warriors, Cup&Cupper and friends! The Serbian teams Triple Threat and WhichOne? already played at the ESOBP II in Innsbruck and reached the ranks 33. and 25.! With 3 wins in 4 games they finishes the ASOBP prelims as 19th / 17th and gained a great position for the Play Offs. The longer the tournament lasted the better the serbs played, especially the youngsters of Triple Threat who defeated in the Bracket Final the Master Balls and the favorised Cup&Cupper (both 1 BPC Emmering, GER) in the Championship Match (2:0) and crowned themselves as the Austrian BIERPONG Champion 2017.
In the game for 3rd place the best Austrian team of the night, Team 4 Meter, took the win. The two Tyrolean boys reunited for their first major tournament after James Dean moved to Vienna and won several tournaments as the Staatsdiener Nr. 1and the Kraken took some big hits with brother mösias as the Twin Towers all over Europe! A pongastic surprise was the second best Austrian Team. The GlettlerZottmanGmbH ended up on 7th place and could sensationally kick out the highly favorised German Team Surk of the tournament. Surk just lost one week before the Championship Game at the DSOBP – Dutch Series of Beer Pong against MAC of the BPC Franken, GER. Those ended up 5th together with the second Serbian team WhichOne?.

The special awards brought another big surprise! Some strong mixed (co-ed) teams signed up for ASOBP III, such as the Hungarian Team BBPD with Borka, who reached 4th place at ESOBP II last January with another partner, Shamu & Flipper, who are one of the top teams in Vienna, Pongerwocky, Professionals of GT from Finland and many moe. Nevertheless just one team qualifyed for the Play Offs of the best 34 teams: The Snowballs, the total rookies with a male player at his very first tournament! Many Congrats! With just one cup away from the Play Off Cut on 35th place the Co-Organisors and Hosts, Die Lämminge, who we want to thank again heartly for all the support and bringing us to Ohlsdorf!
The Best Girls Award went to Germany to BP Rieberg Kasalla, Best Local Team got the Klabusterbeerenbande fromAmpflwang, where they will have their Home-Tournament on August 12th!

The Shooting Contest „The Snake“ was won by Dave! vom Team Ohne Lukas Offer, who came as the defending back-to-back Champion (with Manu as die Bierathleten) and ESOBP Champ to Ohlsdorf. On the day before the living legend Hasi was the best at the Zipfer Shooting Contest! The two Side Events on Friday reulted as follows:
